Gerald is the controlling shareholder of GBM Group and leads its multi-strategy asset-management platform, supported by a complementary UK-regulated FCA-licensed broker-dealer (www.gbmsecurities.com) providing execution, market access, and risk infrastructure.
He began his career as a Director of structured products at Merrill Lynch and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, then spent over a decade in senior leadership roles covering capital markets and investment banking. He later headed a large SEC-registered private-equity platform, deploying more than $1 billion across technology and energy infrastructure, and subsequently founded and led a macro/quant investment adviser regulated by the SEC and CFTC.
Gerald holds an MSc in Finance from London Business School and an MA in the Philosophy of Physics from Columbia University. Outside of work, he is an experienced aviator and longtime jazz enthusiast who enjoys Tokyo’s cultural life and remains deeply interested in aesthetics and the philosophy of science.
