Mr. Grylls is an investment management veteran with expertise in building quantitative investment businesses, developing sophisticated trading strategies, and navigating complex institutional capital markets from both an investment and operational perspective.
Following early roles at HSBC Asset Management and Macquarie Bank, he joined Aspect Capital in London, where he helped establish the firm's New York office and led institutional sales efforts, cultivating relationships with major North American allocators and consultants while developing innovative product offerings that substantially expanded the firm's global footprint. He then founded PGR Capital, where he served as CEO, building the firm from inception into a significant systematic trading operation with a proprietary tick-based research platform that enabled sophisticated multi-horizon trading strategies. Most recently, Mr. Grylls served as Portfolio Manager at Cubist Systematic Strategies in London, where he managed intraday systematic trading strategies while building and mentoring a high-performing quantitative research team.
Mr. Grylls holds a BSc in Marine and Freshwater Biology from Queen Mary, University of London.
