Role Overview
As a Senior DevOps Engineer in GBM Asset Management, you are responsible for building, operating, and continuously improving the platforms that power research, portfolio management, trading, risk and investor reporting. This role blends deep platform engineering expertise with strong understanding of reliability, security, regulatory and the latency needs of front/middle and back office systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and buildout cloud platforms from the ground up for the new asset management business
- Own and create CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application changes
- Design high performance network connectivity and API entry points for internally and externally uses
- Create observability stack to allow timely monitoring and alerting
- Ensure highest level of security standard along with proper identity / access management
- Implement redundancy and auto scaling solution at infra and application level
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or STEM field
- 7+ years in a DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineering position, including 3+ years owning production cloud platform
- Strong with Terraform, Kubernetes, IaC and CI/CD pipelines
- Proficient in at least one programming/scripting language: Python, Go, or Bash
- Comfortable with Linux server environment
Good to Have
- Experienced in Databricks/Spark data analytics platform
- Prior experience in finance industry
- Experienced in building out and supporting messaging middleware
- Exposure to FIX connectivity, market data feeds or order/execution management systems
